Helle Mardahl Studio operates at the intersection of art and functionality to create a dreamy universe of richly coloured glass designs of eccentric deviance. Influenced by nostalgic memories from childhood and iconic films such as Alice in Wonderland and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, the collection of glossy glass creates a conceptual candy universe of magic, dreams and indulgence.

About Helle Mardahl

Helle Mardahl is a Danish designer whose Copenhagen studio has made coloured glass its signature. Her Bon Bon jar takes the rounded, lidded shape of an old-fashioned sweet jar and turns it into a decorative object in glossy, saturated colour, often with a lid and base in contrasting shades.

Every piece is mouth-blown by skilled glassblowers, so small variations in colour and shape are part of its character. New colours arrive in series named like sweets: the Candy Series One introduced shades such as Spearmint, Blue Jelly, Grapefruit and Caramel. Alongside the jars, the studio makes bowls, glasses and other pieces for the table, so the same palette can travel from a sideboard to a dinner setting.
