Assouline
The House of Assouline
Prosper and Martine Assouline published their first book in Paris in 1994: La Colombe d'Or, a portrait of the celebrated inn at Saint-Paul-de-Vence in the south of France. From that single title grew a publishing house that treats every book as an object to be kept and displayed, with generous photography, careful printing and covers designed to be seen on a table or a shelf.
The catalogue now ranges from fashion houses, artists and architects to hotels, yachts, gastronomy and wine. The Travel Series takes readers to destinations such as Capri and St. Barths, while the Ultimate Collection presents large-format volumes bound by hand and offered in a presentation case. Over the years the house has also added scented candles to its world, so that a book and a candle can share one mood on a table or a shelf.
Assouline at DEROS THE SHOP in Athens
At 8 Sekeri Street in Kolonaki, DEROS THE SHOP presents a selection of Assouline titles chosen to sit naturally on a coffee table or in a study, next to the decorative objects of our Art of Living:
- Coffee table books on fashion, art, architecture and design, such as the Riva Aquarama book featured in our news
- Travel and wine: destination books and gift sets such as Wine & Travel, France & Italy
- Scented candles as a companion to the books; see our candles and scents
- Books for the desk and library, alongside our desk accessories and boxes
An Assouline book is a considered gift for a host, a new home or a collector, and it can be paired with a candle or a desk object to make a fuller present.
Our team offers professional consulting on gifts and styling to help you choose the right title for the person or the room. Visit the shop or get in touch to browse the selection.
