J. L. Coquet
The House of J.L. Coquet
Limoges porcelain owes its existence to the kaolin found near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in the 1760s, the pure white clay that made true hard-paste porcelain possible in France. J.L. Coquet belongs to this tradition: its pieces are shaped, fired at high temperature and decorated in its own manufacture in the Haute-Vienne, the heart of the Limoges porcelain region.
The house is known for a contemporary approach to fine porcelain: light, precise forms, satin finishes and decorations in precious metals such as gold and platinum. Its Hemisphere collection, with its softly rounded shapes, is made in many finishes, from pure white to gold rims and metallic colours, so that plates and cups can be mixed and layered. The same manufacture is home to Jaune de Chrome, a sister brand known for its experimental glazes.
J.L. Coquet at DEROS THE SHOP in Athens
At 8 Sekeri Street, DEROS THE SHOP presents a selection of J.L. Coquet porcelain for tables that are formal yet contemporary, as part of our Art of Dining:
- Dinner sets: the Hemisphere collection in satin white with gold and other finishes; see our dinner sets
- Cups and saucers for coffee and tea; see our cups and saucers
- Serving pieces to complete the table; see our serving pieces
Because Hemisphere is made in so many finishes, a service can be given a personal mix of white, gold and colour, for everyday meals as well as formal dinners.
Our team can prepare a J.L. Coquet wedding list, advise on custom Limoges dinnerware and sample selected pieces to help you choose those that suit your home style. Visit the shop or get in touch to discover the collection.
